When our sun die? Is our sun dying? What are solar flares?

SOLAR FLARES FROM SUN

On 10th 1989 a sun ejects a giant cloud of charged particles. After 3 days these solar storms hit earth. These solar storms traveled about a speed of 1 million miles per hour. This solar storms hit (Ottawa) Canada power grid. The solar storm causes a huge electromagnetic storm over the earth's northern hemisphere. As a result power station goes down. Over 6 million people suffered without electricity. There is no power for 9 hours.

AURORA

A pink glowing of bright light formed in the sky as a result of solar storm. This bright glowing light on the sky is called aurora. These solar winds are caused by some changes in the sun. Some holes are formed in the sun. Scientists believed that such holes in the sun are caused because there is not enough fuel (H) for further reaction (nuclear fusion). The hole in the sun emits a heavy magnetic energy along with electrons, protons and nuclei. A sudden release of magnetic energy from the solar atmosphere which leads to the sudden brightness of the sun, losses of magnetic energy in the solar atmosphere.

SOLAR FLARES MOVING TOWARDS EARTH

First solar flares were emitted on sept 1st 1859. The plasma is electrically charged particles. Plasma is fire. This plasma lose magnetic field and sent to space which can travel with a speed of millions of miles per hour. It emits billions of electrically charged gases. These emission of flares or quakes in the sun are called "coronal mass ejection" or cme's. These gases carry an electromagnetic field with them to earth. The electromagnetic field causes electrically destructive such as power lines. Our earth is protected from a solar wind by a magnetic field or magnetosphere.

OUR DYING SUN

On sept 6th 2005. Boulder, Colorado some scientists absorbed the solar wind hits the northern hemisphere. This time it hits throughout America. As a result a pink coloured glowing light appeard all over north America. Luckily, it did not cause any damage to power station, But it affects radio signals at this time. These solar winds not only cause damage to power stations and radio waves. It may also cause radiation. The solar flares found in the coronal layer of the sun is equal to some billion megaton nuclear bomb.
